Looking after the Beers, Wines and Spirits category is an incredibly fun role which allows me to work alongside the largest brewers in the world, as well as the smallest distilleries. Managing each campaign from the initial idea through to its implementation in-store is both challenging and rewarding, with an ever-increasing range of opportunities.
I was lucky enough to have my first day as part of the Threefold team at the SMG Summer Festival in 2017 which was one hell of an icebreaker! Since then there have been many laughs, many successes and many drinks, with Beer O’clock as a weekly highlight.
My favourite campaign so far would have to be 'There’s a Beer for That'. This campaign brought together a number of beer brands on a mission to educate the Co-op shopper and inspire them to try something new with their meal tonight. The campaign was perfectly placed for the Co-op as a master in convenience and utilised aspirational imagery to appeal to the shopper’s desire for a well-deserved treat.
